SILS has signed up with Microsoft Dev Tools for Education to provide Microsoft software to SILS students at no cost. To be eligible, you must be enrolled in at least one class at SILS. SILS degree students are automatically enrolled and receive a welcome email at the beginning of the academic year. Non-degree students enrolled in a SILS course must contact the SILS Help Desk for Microsoft Imagine access.

If Office installation fails, see What to try if you can't install or activate Office for Mac. Launch an Office for Mac app and start the activation process. Click the Launchpad icon in the Dock to display all of your apps. Click the Microsoft Word icon in the Launchpad. The What's New window opens automatically when you launch Word. Microsoft Office 2019 for Mac Standard (Open Academic) is a simple, cost-effective way for individuals and groups to get up-to-date Microsoft technology with special advantages for volume purchases and discounts on upgrades. Open License products make renewing and handling multiple licenses simpler than ever with no IT expertise.

  • Students & faculty can download Microsoft Office 2019 for Windows or Mac at little to no cost or upgrade from Office 2016 to the all-new Office 2019 with OnTheHub.
  • Once the download completes, double-click the Microsoft Office 2011.dmg file and run the installer. After you have completed the install process, open an Office application, such as Word®, and you will be presented with the Get Started with Office 2011 screen.

UFIT provides FREE downloads to up to five full copies of Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus to students, faculty, and staff. The MS O365 ProPlus copies may be downloaded onto your phone, laptop, tablet, or PC. There are PC and Mac versions available.
